I just painted a new army in 6mm, and since it is a rather unusual subject, I show you some photos. I plan to use them to game the Syria-Lebanon campaign (Operation Exporter, 1941) and a "what if" Italy vs. France in N. Africa, 1938-40 (actually there were thow border clashes in 1938 and 1939, see here)... but these could also be used as Syrians during the first Arabo-Israeli War (1948-49).
From left to right: Infantry and HQ (Irregular Miniatures); HMG and mortars (Irregular Miniatures); Laffly S20TL + 75mm gun (Scotia); Chenillette Lorraine 37L + 25mm AT guns and Citroen Kegresse half tracks (Scotia); Panhard AMD 178 (Scotia); White Laffly AM50 (Heroics & Ros); H39 tanks (GHQ); buildings are from Simply 6.
French Officers and a Staff Car (from the Irregular Miniatures WW1 range).
WW2 French Infantry.
75mm Portee, converted from Laffly trucks with gun added... I am not really sure about the camouflage.
French armoured cars and H39 tanks... for Syria, R35 tanks would be more appropriate.
HMG, mortars, AT guns and transports... another 6mm army is ready for my little wars.
